What do we do on a 90 degree day...

...apparently spend a ridiculous amount of time outside. ;) The day started out with meeting some friends at the zoo. A few of the highlights included the elephant's bath and the baby monkey. Later, after Colin's non-nap, we played in the pool. We were thinking about venturing to a real one, but since thunderstorms were in the forecast, I decided to stay close to home. Colin didn't seem to mind.

Tummy Time Revisited

Eli seems to really be getting the hang of this Tummy Time thing. He actually looks like he's enjoying himself.

Mama's Little Helper

One of Colin's new favorite words right now is "help". In addition to helping with all his favorite household chores (vacuuming, putting away dishes, and of course, mowing the lawn), he really enjoys helping with baby Eli. The other day, he heard Chris and I discussing that we needed to give Eli a bath, so he ran into the laundry room to get his tub. He also helps me keep Eli occupied and happy while changing his diaper. If Eli is crying, Colin will yell "Binkie!" and start searching the house for one. If only he remained this helpful throughout his teenage years...I know, wishful thinking! :)

Eli is 2 Months Old

Eli had his 2-month well-child visit today and is continuing to do great. He weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs., 3 oz. and is 23 inches long. He's continuing to interact with us more and more everyday and when he's awake he often tries to strike up a conversation by flashing his sweet grin. Colin still adores him and of course wanted to get in on the photo opp yesterday. Ahh, brotherly love.

Smiley Baby

Eli has definitely discovered the baby that lives in the mirror above his swing. As a birthday gift to me, he spent a good 15 minutes just smiling and talking to his image. So sweet!

Mr. Freeze

This weekend we made our first trip to Mr. Freeze as a family of 4. All I have to say is "Delish!".
I think Colin agrees with me.

Summer Haircut

Colin's hair was seriously getting a little too floppy and out of control. Especially with the last several days being sunny and warm, it was getting really nasty from all the sweat and sunscreen. Apparently, Chris had to wash it 3 times last night to get all the gunk out. So, today I took him to get his summer haircut. He was so excited to go, he threw a fit when I asked him to take a before picture... or maybe he just wanted the sucker.
