One specialist down; Two to go

This week, Eli had a follow up appointment with his neurologist who said he is doing great. The two areas of concern for the neurologist were walking and talking, both of which he's right on track. The doctor said he was happy with his development and that we could come back in a year for another follow up. He then clarified that since he doesn't schedule that far in advance, what he really means is if in 6-7 months we have any concerns, then we should schedule an appointment. And of course, if we have any concerns sooner than that, to call to come in sooner. But I truly don't think that will be necessary. Hopefully we'll get his urologist crossed off the list this Fall and we'll just be down to the surgeon (who we'll continue to see through potty training). Even though I didn't have any concerns with Eli's walking or talking, it feels good to get the all clear from the professional.

  1. That's great, Amanda. I'm sure that, even though you were sure things were fine, it's a load off of your mind and heart to have the doctor give you the all clear.
